The last match of the ongoing England-West Indies series will be played on the 31st of January at 1:30 a.m. (IST) at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Both sides have won two matches so far, and the fifth and final match will decide the series.
England won the fourth match of the series by 34 runs. They came into the fourth game on Saturday 2-1 down after the third match but produced a remarkable performance to level the series.
England’s skipper Moeen Ali was the star performer, scoring 63 runs in only 28 balls and picking up two wickets later in the second innings. He was well backed by the rest of the England bowlers.
West Indies will attempt not to repeat the same mistakes they did in the previous game, Captain Kieron Pollard will have to lead from the front, and West Indies will hope that their young squad will play well in the final match and will hope to come out on top. This series victory will provide these young West Indian players with the inspiration and confidence they need to succeed on the international circuit.
Given that the T20 World Cup will be contested later this year, England will try to continue where they left off in the last game and build confidence ahead of the big event.
