West Indies will lock horns with England in the third T20I of the five-match series at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, in Barbados on Wednesday, January 26. England secured a memorable victory as the two sides went toe-to-toe against each other in the second T20I.
The one-run thriller in the last game enabled England to make a comeback into the series and gave them the much-needed confidence after their humiliating nine-wicket loss in the first T20I.
Both Romario Shepherd and Akeal Hosein were outstanding in the last T20I and almost pulled off a heist with the bat. Hosein scored 44* runs off just 16 balls and hammered the English bowlers to all parts of the park along with his fellow bowling partner Romario Shepherd who also took Chris Jordan and company to the cleaners.
The duo will look to play a pivotal role in Wednesday’s clash. The senior West Indian players need to put their hands up and perform as the youngsters in the squad are still trying to adapt to the demands of international cricket.
On the other hand, England looked much better in the second T20I after their horrible outing in the first T20I and pushed the hosts to their limits. All-rounder Moeen Ali was extremely clinical in his approach during the last game and will be one of the most valuable picks for the third T20I.
Eoin Morgan’s batting form is a huge concern for the English team management, and he will be itching to silence his critics by putting up a remarkable show with the bat in the third game. Opener Jason Roy will be the player to watch out for in Wednesday’s clash.
