However, apart from all the glamour and happy things, Malaika has been through some difficult phases in her life when she got divorced to Arbaaz Khan. Their divorce news came as a shock for many. They were considered as an ideal couple. Now, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Malaika spoke about the time when she and Arbaaz decided to separate.
She said that she went through her personal struggles and separation. She went through having to deal with family pressures and having to deal with how would her child cope with it, how would she cope with it, how would society be. Malaika also said that she even had the thought whether she would be able to continue further or not.
Malaika said, “All these thoughts went through my head and I think that probably, for me, was my lowest in life. I would definitely say that it was such a huge upheaval in my life and such a change for me to deal with because it was not just me personally, there were families involved, there was my kid involved, there were just so many other aspects involved.”
She also mentioned the thoughts that came to her mind when she decide to get divorced. She said, ” My decision was going to impact all the lives around me and when I say mine, I mean at the end of the day, we were two people, it is a couple, we were husband and wife and together, we decided that this was what was best but it was definitely the most difficult, the lowest phase in my life.”
It was in 2017 when Malaika and Arbaaz got divorced and the duo is currently co-parenting their son, Arhaan Khan. Malaika is currently dating Arjun Kapoor and Arbaaz is reportedly dating Giorgia Andriani.
