Tollywood’s Superstar Mahesh Babu and former actress Namrata Shirodkar are among the most loved couples in the industry. Mahesh and Namrata met on the sets of their film Vamsi in 2000. It was love at first sight for them, but they did not profess their love at that time. The two spent some quality time on the sets of Vamsi and by the end of the film’s shooting, it is said that they had begun dating each other.

After dating for five years, the star couple tied the knot in 2005. The two are now proud parents to two beautiful kids, son Gautham Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara. Post their wedding, Namrata quit acting and has been spending quality time with kids. In an old interview with Hello! magazine, Namrata had said, “Mahesh spoils our kids rotten.” She also revealed kids are used to flying first class. 

“Mahesh spoils our kids rotten! While they may be used to flying First Class and accustomed to luxuries, I try to create a balance in their lives. They often fly Economy with me. They must learn to sustain themselves in all circumstances. I’m from a very middle-class family and know the real world,” Namrata had said.

Namrata won Miss India in 1993 and made her Bollywood debut with Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai opposite Salman Khan in 1998. The film co-starred Twinkle Khanna in a pivotal role. She also delivered many memorable performances in films like Vaastav, Kachche Dhaage, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Pukar.

Speaking about Mahesh, the actor is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Sarakaru Vaari Paata. Helmed by Parasuram Petla, it is said to be based on banking scams. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. It is set to hit the screens on Ugadi, on April 1, 2022. Earlier, Sarkaru Vaari Paata was scheduled to be released in theatres on January 13, 2021.

The music of the film has been composed by S Thaman while R Madhi is handling the camera for the movie. The film is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and Mahesh Babu Entertainment.
