After a flamboyant knock of 78 which helped South Africa win the second ODI of the ongoing series against India which helped the Proteas seal a series win, Quinton de Kock has continued his fine form with a stunning century in the third ODI of the series at Cape Town.
After India won the toss and chose to field first in the final game of the series, de Kock played a flawless knock and reached the three-figure mark in just 108 deliveries to set the hosts up for a big score.
This ton is de Kock’s 17 century in ODI cricket having played 127 games in the 50-over format for the Proteas. Out of those 17, six centuries have come against India despite playing just 16 games against the Men in Blue.
Due to his phenomenal century in India, de Kock has broken a plethora of records. Firstly, de Kock has equalled Ab de Villiers for the most centuries in India with only Sanath Jayasuriya (7) having more.

Talking about the match, South Africa found themselves in trouble early at 70-3 but de Kock alongside Rassie van der Dussen put up a 144-run partnership to put India on the backfoot. The 29-year-old was eventually dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for a score of 124.
