AAP’s Chief Minister candidate for upcoming Punjab polls Bhagwant Mann said that his courage and responsibility both have increased now, exuding confidence that his party will come to power in the state.
In an exclusive interview with Times Now, Mann, a two-time MP from Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency and AAP’s state unit chief, said that his party will win the next month’s elections in the state with a huge majority.
“My courage and responsibility both have increased. The public has a lot of expectations from us and that is why our responsibility has also increased. This time, we will win the elections with a huge majority and work together as a team,” he said.
“We formed government in Delhi for third consecutive terms and Punjab and Delhi is interconnected and that is why people of Punjab get to know about the development works that are being done in Delhi,” he added.
The AAP leader also made it clear that all decisions regarding Punjab will be taken in the state only and there will be no interference from Delhi.
“Decisions regarding Punjab will be taken in Punjab only. Punjab also faces problems related to education, health, corruption, electricity. We will end mafia raj,” he said.
When asked who he considers his competition, Mann said, “People have lost faith in Congress, and they also have hatred in their heart for Akali Dal and the BJP is receiving flak because of the farm laws…We will surely get farmers’ support because we are the only ones who raised their voice for them.”
Mann said that the party will announce in two days the name of the constituency from where he will contest the Assembly elections.
Punjab will got to polls on February 20 and the results will be announced on March 10
