Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain got married on December 14. It was a royal 3-day wedding and Ankita-Vicky looked perfect together. While Ankita wore a royal golden lehenga which was designed by Manish Malhotra, Vicky Jain looked handsome in white sherwani for their big day. On January 14, the couple completed a month of marital bliss.
January 14 is also celebrated as Makar Sankranti which is very important in Maharashtrian culture. Ankita and Vicky celebrated their first Makar Sankranti and the actress took to Instagram to share pictures from their celebrations. In the pictures, we see Ankita’s house was decorated with kites and flowers.
Ankita wore a gorgeous black saree with a red and golden broad border. She completed her look with green bangles, mangalsutra and traditional jewellery made out of grains. She wrote a caption in Marathi wishing fans on a special day.
Earlier, Ankita had shared a beautiful post for her husband, Vicky. She posted a throwback video where the two of them are seen happily enjoying at a beach. Along with the video, she wrote, ” Today. We are husband and wife, U will be my best friend for life . With giggles and laughter, Our journey will be a happy ride. You my love,are the key to my smile. From Your beautiful bride. Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress spoke about how she would be celebrating her first Makar Sankranti post marriage. The actress mentioned that Makar Sankranti is very important in Maharashtrian culture and it is her first post marriage so it is a big deal. The actress said, “My mum has already prepared and bought all the jewels made out of grains. There’s going to be a haldi and kumkum ceremony. The newlyweds are supposed to be in black outfits. I’m going to be all dolled up.”
On the work front, Ankita was last seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta: It’s Never Too Late For Love. The show starred Shaheer Sheikh in place of the late Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav Deshmukh. Ankita and Shaheer’s sizzling chemistry won hearts.
