he Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have struggled for a long time in IPL. Since the 2016 edition, where they ended as runners-up, they have failed to qualify for the playoffs. In the ongoing IPL 2020 edition in the UAE, the Kohli-led camp has started off on a good note with three wins out of five encounters. However, their next clash will be against the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
RCB will lock horns with the three-time champions CSK on Saturday evening (October 10) in Dubai, which is expected to be a marquee clash in the weekend with big stars such as Kohli, Dhoni, AB de Villiers, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Yuzvendra Chahal, etc. facing each other. In fact, this will be the first-ever instance of both Kohli and Dhoni coming up against each other since the latter’s international retirement.
Ahead of the much-awaited clash, Kohli shared an interesting post from his official Twitter handle. While he didn’t write anything as such, he shared a clock’s emoticon along with his picture in RCB jersey with a helmet on. It seems like the RCB captain is all geared up for the highly-anticipated clash.
Talking about CSK and RCB’s rivalry, the Yellow Army have an edge going into the contest as they lead the Men in Red 15-8 in 24 games, including one tie. However, the current form might tilt the equation in RCB’s favour, who have fared much better than Dhoni & Co. and are at the fifth spot, contrary to CSK who occupies the spot below.
In the IPL 2019 edition, CSK thrashed RCB by 7 wickets in the tournament-opener whereas the Bengaluru-based franchise got the better of their opposition, by one run, when they hosted them at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the reverse fixture.
All in all, it promises to be a humdinger of a clash between RCB and CSK on Saturday evening.
