Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, said that his goal is not ‘power’ but ‘to serve the people’ of the nation. Addressing the 83rd edition of his flagship Mann ki Baat programme, PM Modi said that his prime duty is that of a ‘Pradhan Sevak’ for his people.
Stressing on his government’s much projected ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ outlook, PM said that the Indian startup ecosystem is providing solutions to global problems, even as citizens from small villages are coming together to find solutions to the local challenges.
“With the efforts of the government… what is the experience of that changed life? When we hear this, we too are filled with sensations. It also gives satisfaction to the mind and also gives the inspiration to take that plan to the people. This is what I seek from life. I don’t want to be in power, my goal is to serve people,” PM Modi said.

“Today, there are over 70 startups in India that have crossed the valuation of more than 1 billion. Many Indians are providing solutions to global problems through their startups,” PM said in the Mann Ki Baat programme which was aired at 11 am. This was also the last Mann Ki Baat programme of the year 2021.
Referring to the war of liberation of Bangladesh, PM said that he remembers the brave hearts of the country and urged the nation to remember its heroes. “On December 16, we will be celebrating the golden jubilee year of the 1971 war. On all these occasions, I remember the Security Forces of the country, remember our heroes,” he said.
