It was in 2018 that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor last graced the big screen. Stepping in the shoes of Sanjay Dutt for his biopic titled Sanju, Ranbir delivered a blockbuster back then. The film, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, had Ranbir in the titular role, and his performance won him rave reviews apart from commercial success.

But since then, the actor has been missing from the screen and his loyal fans are waiting eagerly to watch him on the big screen. While the shoots of many of his films are underway, none has yet hit the big screens. The wait, however, now comes to an end as the actor is set to return to the screen next year. As many as four of Ranbir’s films will be lined up to release in 2022.

Shamshera, one of Ranbir’s most anticipated films, has locked March 18, 2022, for its theatrical release Helmed by Karan Malhotra, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. Fans are curious to know more and more about the period action drama.

Another film awaiting a release is the Luv Ranjan-directorial. While the title of the film hasn’t been revealed yet, the film will co-star Shraddha Kapoor. And the makers have locked January 26, 2023, for its official release.

Just recently, it was confirmed that Ranbir’s film with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is slated for a release on August 11, 2023. The film is titled Animal, and with its Independence Week release, it has fair chances of leaving the cash registers ringing at the box office.

Yet another film fans are eagerly waiting for is Brahmastra. The film was announced years ago, and to date, there’s no confirmation on its release date. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film brings together lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir and marks the first part of the trilogy. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

While this is all on Ranbir’s professional front, rumours of his impending wedding with Alia Bhatt continue to take over social media every now and then. The duo, however, is yet to make an official statement on its theatrical release. Ranbir also remains in the news for his outings with Alia apart from the actress’ love-filled social media posts featuring the actor.
