Antim: The Final Truth actor Aayush Sharma has revealed that superstar Salman Khan doesn’t use body doubles even if the scene doesn’t require his face to be captured. Aayush, who has earlier spoken about being scared of shooting action scenes with his brother-in-law Salman, also shared that he had to punch the Wanted actor again and again for retakes.
In an exclusive conversation with Times Now digital, Aayush spoke about how they shot the action scenes of their upcoming film. The Loveyatri actor shared that there were a lot of retakes, but Salman behaved very professionally and never used a body double. “There were many mishaps. A lot of punches from his side were being landed on me and my punches were being landed on him. But he’s been doing this for more than 30 years,” he said.
Aayush went on to share that he once accidentally kicked Salman in his stomach while shooting a scene. The actor said that he panicked and kept apologising to Salman. However, the superstar just dusted it off and told him it’s okay.
“He kept me very comfortable and told me that you need to keep your character intact. Every time he saw something he wasn’t happy with, he would do a retake with himself even if the scene could’ve been shot with a stand-up. He would ask me to do it again and punch him again. And, I would say it is your back shot, someone else can do it for you, but Salman did it himself. He told me, ‘You’ve to do this with me’,” Aayush added.
Aayush is married to Salman’s sister Arpita Khan and the actors share a close bond. Salman is not just a family member, he’s also Aayush’s mentor. The Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai also gives him advice on scripts and more, said the actor.
Aayush made his Bollywood debut with Loveytari in 2018. The romance film was bankrolled by Salman, and helmed by Abhiraj Minawala. Antim: The Final Truth is Aayush’s first film since his debut. It shows Salman as a cop while Aayush plays a dreaded gangster. It has been helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Salma Khan. The film will be globally released in theatres on November 26.
