Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty, is unstoppable and has crossed ₹ 100 crore mark in just four days after opening in theatres post Diwali. The film is Rohit Shetty’s ninth movie to cross ₹ 100 crore mark, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Sooryavanshi earned ₹ 11.22 crore on Tuesday, bringing the overall collections to ₹ 102.81 crore. By the end of its first week, it might score as much as ₹ 120 crore, stated Taran Adarsh. Sharing the film’s box office performance, he wrote: “#Sooryavanshi is Hundred points symbol NOT OUT… Continues to attract substantial footfalls even on weekdays, especially in #Maharashtra and #Gujarat… Eyes ₹ 120 crore [+/-] total in *Week 1*… Fri 26.29 crore, Sat 23.85 crore, Sun 26.94 crore, Mon 14.51 crore, Tue 11.22 crore. Total: ₹ 102.81 crore. #India business.”
In a separate tweet, Taran Adarsh wrote: “Rohit Shetty: the hit machine… #Sooryavanshi is #RohitShetty’s NINTH film to cross ₹ 100 crore mark… Rohit holds the record for maximum films in ₹ 100 crore Club… Indeed, Rohit is making the audience laugh in theatres and his distributors laugh all the way to the bank!”
Sooryavanshi also stars Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Ajay Devgn as Singham – lead characters from other films of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe – in cameo roles.
