Ekta Kapoor graced The Kapil Sharma Show with father and veteran actor Jeetendra tonight (November 06). The celebrated father-daughter came for the special Diwali episode to promote one of Ekta Kapoor’s newest ventures. While in talks with Kapil Sharma, Jeetendra and Ekta recalled fun and interesting memories from the past. The veteran actor even spilt the beans on Ekta’s childhood and recalled the time she was in Ram Leela.

Our very own producer and director, responsible for shows like Pavitra Rishta, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Yeh Hai Chahatein and more played a part in local Ram Leela once. Well, not just a part, Ekta played Raavan, as revealed by Ekta. It was then when the veteran actor shared that he was worried about Ekta’s future as she was “heavy”. He further shared that since she was a bit overweight, he used to worry about her prospects in the industry. 

To this, Ekta jokingly said that her weight was the reason why she did not pursue a career as an actor. This left Archana Puran Singh and Kapil Sharma in splits. Well, Ekta might not have debuted in the industry as an actor, but she sure is the queen of the TV industry. She has given shows like Kasamh Se, Qayamat Ki Raat and even OTT content. 

The producer recently became a recipient of the Padma Shri Award. She is going to receive the award alongside the likes of Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut and others. They were conferred with the fourth-highest civilian honour back in January 2020 and at that time, Ekta had penned a thankful note on Twitter. The ceremony will take place on November 08, 2021. 

Ekta was spotted on the comedy show in a green suit and Jeetendra matched the traditional wear vibe in a printed suit. In one of the segments, Kapil asked Jeetendra a couple of questions like who picks his outfits, whom he shares the most stuff with and the actor had to pick between Ekta and wifey Shobha.
