T20 WC: Former England skipper Michael Vaughan names one team that can stop England at this stage

England defeated Australia by eight wickets on Saturday in a thumping win at the ICC T20 World Cup. Courtesy of their win, they now have three victories from as many games and are at the top of the Group 1 points table.

Former England captain Micheal Vaughan came up with a statement saying Pakistan is the only team that can stop the high-flying English side at the moment in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Speaking of Pakistan, they have also won all three of their games thus far and are looking like a side that is in sublime form. Pakistan claimed victories against arch-rivals India, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. On the other hand, England have beaten West Indies, Bangladesh, and Australia.

Taking to Twitter, Micheal Vaughan said that England are the best team and are most destructive. He added that only Pakistan seem likely to be able to stop them at this point in the tournament.

“Now that is a message to the rest … England are the best team & most destructive … Whose going to stop them!?? Only #Pakistan look likely at this stage #T20WorldCup,” Michael Vaughan tweeted.

England will look to continue their winning run and win both of their remaining games in the Super12 stage. They next face Sri Lanka at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday, followed by South Africa at the same venue on the 6th of November. Meanwhile, Pakistan are slated to take on Namibia at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Their final group stage game will be against Scotland on 7th November. Pakistan will also be keen to continue their dominant run in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Both England and Pakistan are almost certain to make the semi-finals of the showpiece event this year. England have previously won the tournament once in 2010 while Pakistan won the ICC T20 World Cup back in 2009.
