Though all the episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati are special, the Friday episodes hold a different place in our hearts. Every Friday, some celebrities sit on the hot seats and play to win the prize money by answering difficult questions. They play for some charity and the winning amount is used for some noble cause. The show is back with its thirteenth season this year, and up till now, we have seen two contestants winning Rs 1 crore.

In today’s Shaandaar Shukarvaar episode of KBC 13, singers Sonu Nigam and Shaan sat on the hotseats and played the game. Even before the show was aired on television screens and online, several promos went viral and left fans excited. Shaan and Sonu played and will donate the winning prize to organisations working for old-age homes.

During the show, singer Shaan talked about how children leave their parents in old-age homes, and the same left host Amitabh Bachchan emotional. Shaan said, “Wo mata-pita, jinki wajah se hum iss duniya mein hai, hum unhi ka khayaal na rakhe toh fir humari zindagi toh vyart hi hui.” (Loosley translated: If we don’t take care of those parents, because of whom we’re in this world, then life goes in vain)

Hearing the same, Big B got emotional and after watching a video of parents living in an old-age home, he said, “Kasht hota hai jab mata-pita ke saath jo santaan iss tarah karti hai.” (Loosely translated: It pains to see children treat their parents in such a way

On the show, Sonu Nigam also shared an incident from his personal life and revealed that whatever he earns, the money goes straight to his father. He also revealed that he doesn’t know how to sign cheques and added, “I still do not know how to fill cheques and there’s no locker in my house. So, if my wife needs money, she tells me, I tell Saira and Saira calls my father. And he says, ‘What happened? Are the monthly expenses a lot this time?’ I am 48 years old and till date, if I have earned Rs 10, it goes to my dad. I want that father should always be giving us and never have to take anything from us.”

Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 aires from Monday to Friday on SonyTV and SonyLiv app at 9 pm.
