On Monday, South actress Shriya Saran and her Russian entrepreneur-husband Andrei Koscheev revealed they have become parents for the first time. The couple has been blessed with a baby girl. Shriya, who got married in 2018, recently took to Instagram and informed her fans that she was pregnant in 2020.
The Sivaji actress Shriya shared a video on a social media handle featuring Andrei and her little one and wrote, “Hello people, we had a crazy but the most beautiful 2020 quarantine. While the whole world was going through a beautiful turmoil, our world changed for ever… To a world full of adventures, excitement and learning. We are blessed to have an Angel in our life. We are so grateful to god.”
Shriya and Andrei got married in a hush-hush ceremony in Rajasthan in March 2018. She soon moved to Barcelona, Spain. The couple met for the first time in the Maldives during a diving session. After being in a relationship for a few years they got married.
On Tuesday, in her first interview after the announcement, The 39-year-old actress Shriya revealed the name of her 9-month-old baby. She told Etimes that they have named her Radha. Her Russian husband loves the name, she said. She also revealed that Radha was born in Barcelona, Spain, It’s a planned baby, amid the COVID-19 lockdown last year.
“The world had come to an abrupt halt and we thought it was the best time to start a family,” the Uthamaputhiran star said. “I have sufficient help and support system. My mom is here; so it’s not going to be tough to look after Radha while I’m shooting,” Shriya added.
Earlier this year, Saran had revealed the couple was relocating to India from Barcelona, Spain. She will be seen next in a cameo role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR opposite Ajay Devgn. The film stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles and it also has Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Chatrapathi Sekhar, and Spandan Chaturvedi in supporting roles. RRR is scheduled to release in January 2022.
The diva will also be seen in Sujana Rao’s directorial debut Gamanam, an anthology of three stories. Shriya will play a de-glam role in the film, which also stars Nithya Menen, Priyanka Jawalkar, Indu Anand, Suhas and Shiva Kandukuri.
