Apart from ruling the silver screen, Amitabh Bachchan has also taken over the small screen with his popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. The 13th season of the show started a few weeks back and fans have been enjoying it thoroughly. The reality game show gives the audience a chance to win up to Rs 7 crore on the basis of their knowledge.
Tonight’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 did not have a rollover contestant. After winning the fastest finger first round, Akshayjyot Ratnoo came on the hot seat.
Post answering the first few questions quickly, Akshayjyot opted for the flip the question lifeline for the eighth question, which was for Rs 80,000. The new question was from the entertainment category and was based on the late Surekha Sikri. Akshayjyot gave the right answer and won the money. Check it out below:
Question: Which of these actresses won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress three times for her role in Tamas, Mammo and Badhaai Ho.
Options: (A) Neena Gupta
(B) Surekha Sikri
(C) Farida Jalal
(D) Deepa Sahi
Choosing the correct option, B, Akshayjyot won Rs 80,000. After that, Big B went on to share that Sikri had started her career with the movie Kissa Kursi Ka in 1978, and had featured in several serials apart from films. He added, “Bahut hi durbhagyavarsh humne unhe kho dia hai aur bahut hi umdah kalakaar aur Badhaai Ho mein toh ekdam adhbhut unki bhoomika rahi hai (Sadly, we have lost her. She was an excellent artiste and was excellent in Badhaai Ho as well). Sikri passed away in July this year.
Meanwhile, the makers have made a few changes in the current season of KBC. They have brought back the audience poll lifeline. The lifeline was removed because the live audience was not allowed in the studio due to COVID-19. The pattern for Fastest Finger First has also changed. Instead of one question for which the contestants had to guess the right order, there are three questions now and the contestants have to guess the right answers.
Whoever answers first takes the lead, and after the three questions are done, the average is calculated and the person who is in lead takes over the hot seat.
