Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) governments in the state accusing them of doing appeasement politics.

Addressing a rally in UP’s Kushinagar, chief minister Adityanath said before 2017, people being to a particular community were only given preference in the welfare schemes by the state governments.

“Under PM Modi leadership, there is no place for appeasement politics. Before 2017 was everyone able to get ration?. Earlier, only those who used to say ‘Abba Jaan’ were digesting the ration,” ANI quoted the Uttar Pradesh chief minister as saying.

The chief minister also inaugurated around 40 development projects costing more than Rs 120 crore and laid the foundation stone. He also met public representatives in the district.

Earlier today, CM Adityanath inaugurated multiple development projects in Sant Kabir Nagar district. The Chief Minister also paid a tribute to the healthcare warriors, media persons, representatives etc. who served people during the pandemic and praised the common public for being disciplined.

“Today, I would like to congratulate everyone on these projects. There are 106 projects worth Rs. 219 crore and 16 projects worth Rs 26 Crore. Earlier, nobody cared about the development of this district. Only announcements were made. But now, this district will also walk on the path of development,” he said.
