After a period of 8 years, Ashish Krishna Suvarna finally made it to Kaun Banega Crorepati. The 26-year-old recently played the quiz with Amitabh Bachchan in the 13th season of the game show. In the latest episode of KBC 13, Ashish Suvarna won Rs 6,40,000. He had a high chance of winning  Rs 12.5 lakh. But since he wasn’t sure about the right answer, Ashish chose to quit the game and take Rs 6.4 lakh as the prize money.

Post his appearance on KBC 13, Times Now Digital did an interview with Ashish. Speaking to us, the Mumbai-based guy opened up about the financial struggles he faced earlier.

Talking about it at length, Ashish started off by saying, “My dad used to work in a hotel so our financial base was not good. Earlier we used to stay in a chawl when I was a kid. Then we moved to a 1RK flat and there were many things which I expected ki hona chaiye like going to movies, going to the hotel and having dinner. That never happened. So, I had in my mind that when I grow up and become successful, whatever struggle my parents have faced and I don’t want them to face again. I want to give my family a better life like my future generation should lead a very good life.”

Ashish added that it was only the motivating factor for him to work hard. And fortunately, things turned out to be good for him in 2021. That being said, the 26-year-old revealed that five years ago, his father had a paralytic attack and he had to shoulder the responsibilities with his mother. “My mother used to take tuitions whereas I was doing my CA internship,” he said.

And after doing his internship, he got a new job, brought a new flat in Mumbai and because of that Ashish feels 2021 was a big turn-around for him. “Things were pretty bad. In COVID, things went up and down but this year everything changed. I never expected to reach KBC 13. Things were happening good but this year was superb,” added Ashish.
