Movie buffs, who were enjoying multiple releases every weekend are saddened because of the limited release due to the ongoing pandemic. Theaters have remained closed for almost a year. However, coming as a respite, the government has finally permitted theatres to operate with limited capacity. Speaking of which, many big budget films have queued up for theatrical release in the coming months.
Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film Pushpa is aiming for a Christmas release. Around the same time, Aamir Khan’s Hindi film Laal Singh Chaddha too is scheduled to hit the screens.

Fanclubs get charged up
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Tollywood star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa are all set to clash at the box office in December. The announcement about the box office clash between the highly-anticipated films has made fans excited.
Telugu star Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film Pushpa is scheduled to release in two parts. The first part is slated to release in this Christmas, December 25. Directed by Sukumar, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Pushpa has been co-produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. The film is is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of the 1994 classic film Forrest Gump that featured Tom Hanks in the lead role. In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir plays the lead role, while Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen as the female lead. The film is being directed by Advait Chandan and is is jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film, which was slated to release on Christmas last year, is scheduled to hit the screens on December 25, 2021.
South star Naga Chaitanya will be making his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha. He plays the role of Bala in the film. Earlier, Vijay Sethupathi was initially supposed to play a pivotal role in the film, but things did not work out. In the images, Naga Chaitanya can be seen posing with Aamir Khan amid the beautiful locations in Srinagar where they are shooting. Apart from the two stellar actors, co-producer Kiran Rao and director Advait Chandan can also be seen in the images.
