Mr. Perfectionst of Bollywood, Aamir Khan is known for his unique ways to promote his films. Sometimes, he gets into a getup of someone unknown, and sometimes, he will try and mimic some known person, but no matter what methods he chooses, Aamir has been successfully promoting his films. But once, his prank sort of failed and the result was unmissable. Wondering what happened and how? Read on. 

It so happened that in 2009, Aamir, while promoting his film 3 idiots, visited Kolkata and tried to enter Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly’s house but his guard threw him out. Several videos from the incident have been making waves online and fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Aamir was denied entry into Sourav’s home. 

But this is not what you think this is! The twist is that Aamir changed his getup and dressed up as a fan and tried to enter Sourav’s house in disguise to get a photograph with him. The guards mistook him for just another fan and denied him entry into the house. The one video has Aamir telling everyone that he has reached near Sourav’s house and will now try and enter and meet him. Despite a lot of efforts, the guards didn’t let the fan (Aamir) meet Sourav. 

However, when Sourav got to know of Aamir visiting him, he warmly welcomed him and invited him and Kiran Rao for dinner at his house. 

Then, in another video, which is from inside Sourav’s Kolkata house, everyone is seen having a chit-chat at the dinner table and discussing what happened. In the video, one can see Aamir, his then-wife Kiran Rao, Sourav, and his wife Dona talking and discussing, how the actor’s prank failed. When Sourav tells his wife Dona about Aamir’s prank, they couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the prank.

Later, Aamir gifts Sourav a ring as a token of their new friendship, and also invited him to watch 3 Idiots at the premiere.

Aamir and Kiran were recently in the news when they ended their 15 years marriage and announced divorce. The two are proud parents to son Azad Rao Khan and even after divorce, they will continue to co-parent him. Aamir and Kiran welcomed Azad through surrogacy in 2011. 

“In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect, and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other,” reads a part of Aamir and Kiran’s official note

At present, both Aamir and Kiran are in Kashmir with their son Azad, where they are shooting for the actor’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and South actor Naga Chaitanya. Kiran is co-producing the film and it is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump
