Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao left one and all shocked when they shared that they are ending their marriage after 15 years. The estranged couple released a statement announcing their divorce. Following the same, many took to social media to express grief. However, there were a few who trolled Aamir and Kiran for their decision.
Backing the estranged couple, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shared a series of tweets. His first post read, “If #AamirKhan and #KiranRao have no problem with divorcing each other, why the F…. should anyone else have it in the whole world? Trollers are trolling it in a stupidly personal way, whereas the couple are being personally professional!”
In his second tweet, he wished for happier times and wrote, “Hey #AmirKhan and #KiranRao am sure u are doing whatever u are doing wishing well for each other and to have happier times in future for both ur own personal reasons which would be obviously known best only to u..So F ____ the Trollers.”
RGV, who worked with Aamir in Rangeela, wished him and Kiran a more colourful life in his last post. He wrote, “I wish u both #AmirKhan and #KiranRao a very RANGEELA life much more COLOURFUL than before ..I believe that a divorce should be celebrated more than a marriage because divorces happen out of knowledge and wisdom …and marriages happen out of ignorance and stupidity.”
Meanwhile, in their joint statement, Aamir and Kiran talked about the happy times they have spent together, adding that they now wish to start a new chapter in their lives. “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect, and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other,” they shared
The two have a son together and in their statement, they also shared, “We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together.” Before Kiran, Aamir was married to Reena Dutta. Aamir and Reena are doting parents to their kids, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan.
