Every week, the Broadcast Audience Research Council’s (BARC) TRP report reveals the top shows that have won the hearts of the audience. While many shows have seen a stream of ups and downs on the TRP chart, one show, in particular, has been maintaining its top spot for a while now. The BARC report for the 25th week is finally out.

With no room for any surprise, Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Panday’s Anupamaa has done it again by securing the first position. The show received 7,705 impressions and has become the highest-rated show for the last month. The show aired last year on Star Plus and is apparently based on the Bengali series, Sreemoyee. It revolves around Gujarati homemaker Anupamaa and her family. She finally learns the truth about her family and sets out to live life on her own terms.

The second spot with 7655 impressions is Leena Gangopadhyay’s Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The Star Plus show features Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt. The next one is Imli, starring Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Mayuri Deshmukh, with 7024 impressions.

While Indian Idol 12 was earlier going on an upward trajectory, in light of several controversies, the show went downwards and now, hasn’t been able to make it to the top five. The third spot, last week, has been secured by the long-running serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai with 6812 impressions. The lead pair of the romantic drama Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan are quite a hit on-screen couple among their fans. Almost every week, the daily soap manages to steal a place in the top 5.

The next show with 5356 impressions is Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, which had first aired in 2020. With Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Sneha Jain, and Akanksha Juneja, the serial is keeping the audience glued to the screen.

In the rural Hindi top five programs, that received the highest ratings, were Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Tujhse Hai Raabta with 5651 impressions, Kundali Bhagya with 5584 impressions, Imli and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein.

Among the entertainment channels that made it to the top five spots on the BARC TRP report were Star Plus, Star Utsav, Sony Sab, Sony Entertainment, and Sony Anmol.

The regulatory board released weekly data on its official site. In India, overall, Star Plus still rules with 2961.93 impressions followed by Sun TV with 2689.63 impressions, Star Maa with 2318.65 impressions and Sony SAB with 2243.05 impressions.
