It was on June 15 when TV actor Pearl V Puri was granted bail in an alleged rape case. Post the same, the actor did not share any updates on the case or otherwise on his social media handle. Neither did Pearl interact with the media. Today, finally, the Naagin star has opened up about the case and also revealed the “gruelling” times that he and his family are currently experiencing. 

In a long social media post, Pearl revealed that he lost his maternal grandmother a few months back and how his father passed away back in 2020. He added that then his mother diagnosed with cancer and while she was undergoing treatment, he was put behind the bars in “ghastly” rape accusations.

The actor shared how the last couple of months have been tough for him and his family but he has been fortunate enough to have friends who give him strength. He concluded his post by urging all to pray for him and he added that he has faith in the judicial system and hopes for the truth to prevail. 

Pearl shared the post with a caption reading: “I feel blessed to have each one of y’all thankyou for being my biggest strength”

Right after Pearl shared this, his friends from the industry reacted in the comment section. Divya Khosla, who teamed up with Pearl for the music video Teri Aankhon Me, took to the comment section and wrote: “Pearl .., all know what the truth is & those Shameless people made you a scapegoat in their own personal matters …Really hope u get justice at the earliest”. Divya is one of those celebrities who have been actively supporting Pearl and sharing posts on Instagram to seek justice for the actor.

Pearl V Puri was arrested on June 4 for allegedly raping a minor in 2019 on the sets of Bepanah Pyaar. A case has been registered against the actor under the POCSO Act and he was in 14-days of judicial custody. After his arrest, many like Nia Sharma, Ekta Kapoor, Karisma Tanna took to social media and trend #JusticForPearl in a way to support the actor.
