Kerala Congress chief K Sudhakaran denied Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s allegation of having plotted to kidnap his two children decades ago and asked why a police complaint had not been registered at that time.

Hitting out at Vijayan, Sudhakaran said he wanted to know why no complaint had been filed.

Launching a scathing attack on the CM, the Kerala Congress chief said the recent gold and dollar smuggling cases happened with the knowledge of Vijayan.

He added that Swapna Suresh, the prime accused in these cases, has been part and parcel of Vijayan’s inner circle for the past few years.

K Sudhakaran challenges Pinarayi Vijayan to order a probe into his mafia links

Alleging that Swapna travelled with the CM and stayed in the same place where he stayed, Sudhakaran, took a dig at Vijayan, saying that after the case came into the limelight, he denied knowing her.

Will, any child in Kerala, believe this, he asked.

Sudhakaran also challenged Vijayan to order a probe into his mafia links, saying he will quit as president of the Kerala Congress if the CM proves his allegation.

Vijayan recently said that a friend and financier of Sudhakaran came and informed him that Sudhakaran would kidnap his two children.

Had assaulted Vijayan in college: Kerala Congress chief

In an interview to Manorama Weekly, Sudhakaran said he had kicked down Vijayan while in Government Brennen College, their alma mater.

Reacting to this, the CM said Sudhakaran is just boasting.

The Kerala Congress chief also raised the issue of RSS activist Vadikkal Ramakrishnan’s murder in 1969 in Kannur. Vijayan was the first accused in this murder case.

Sudhakaran also alleged that in his debut election in 1970 at Kuthuparampu in Kannur, Vijayan had the support of the then Jan Sangh.

“He accuses me of having links with the BJP, but it’s the Congress that is opposing the BJP all over the country,” he added.
