Rashmi Gopinath is an Indian model and actress, who currently work predominantly in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Following appearances in several television and newspaper commercials and wining  Bangalore Supermodel 2016 pageant, she started her movie career.

Rashmi debuted in Kollywood with the 2020 movie Cocktail co-starring Yogi Babu, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sayaji Shinde and Anjali in the lead roles. It has been directed by Ra. Vijaya Murugan and was released into the theatres on March 6, 2020. 

Now, the latest update that the actress has changed her name Rashmi Gopinath to Niviksha. She has also shared the reason for his name change. Rashmi told Etimes, “One of the main reasons is, people weren’t able to pronounce my name. I would often get called Reshmi or Reshma. So, I wanted to change my name. Since I also believe in numerology, I went with Niviksha Naidu. It’s been three months since I took on that name. However, I haven’t changed it legally. Niviksha will be my screen name.” 

“I completed shooting for a Telugu-Hindi bilingual, directed by Ajay Nali, just before the lockdown. It’s a spy thriller and stars director Ravi Babu in an important role. While Kannada actor Raj Surya plays the hero, I play the female lead. Though it’s a thriller, there’s a lovely brother-sister sentiment angle in the film, between me and actor Ajay”. further she added.

The actress is currently in Bangalore, has signed quite a few films in Telugu and Kannada films. Through her successful acting career, she has established herself in the movie fraternity with her versatile acting in the superhit movie Cocktail. Within one year, she has acted in more than 6 films which include three Kannada films, one Telugu film, and a few Tamil films. 

On the work front, the actress is a part of Dabbe Dabbu in Telugu and Paatra’ in Kannada. Rashmi is also currently shooting for an upcoming movie Reel Anthu Pochu opposite Adith Arun
