Keeping in mind convenience of the customers, as the country fights the second COVID-19 wave, Maruti Suzuki India is offering extension of free service, warranty and extended warranty to customers. The extension would be applicable to free service and warranty period expiring between March 15, 2021 to May 31, 2021. These will be extended up to 30th June 2021.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director (Service), Maruti Suzuki India said, “With customer convenience at the core of initiatives, we have decided to extend the free services, warranty and extended warranty for our customers till June 30, 2021. Earlier, these were expiring between March 15th and May 31st, 2021. Since customers in several States are facing restricted movement, this extension will give them relief. They can avail these services at their convenience, as lockdown eases.”
Earlier this week, Tata Motors, the home-grown automaker has announced the extension of the warranty as well as the free service periods available with its cars across the country. The decision comes in view of the lockdowns, which prevents motorists from being able to get their cars serviced in accordance to the schedule. Hence, to offers a hassle-free aftersales experience for its customers, Tata Motors has taken the decision.
Dimple Mehta, Head – Customer Care (Domestic and IB), PVBU, Tata Motors, “The Covid 19 upsurge has led to restrictions on movements and customers across the country are unable to bring or send their vehicles to our authorized service centers for scheduled maintenance or repairs. Hence a challenge when warranty and free service periods as per policy norms get expired during the on-going lockdown.”
“We are committed to our customers and are offering them utmost support in these tough times by extending their warranty and free service period till 30th June 2021. Through this initiative we are enhancing our brand connect with customers and are offering them a hassle-free ownership experience,” he added.
Now, a litte bit more detail about this extension: The automaker said that customers whose vehicles’ warranty and free service period (not kilometres) are due to expire between 1 April and 31 May, will now be extended till 30 June.
