It is all known that Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Om Raut who is known for his periodic tales like Tanhaji is all set to come up with another epic story Adipurush. This movie has pan-Indian star Prabhas as the lead actor essaying the role of Lord Rama and B-Town’s handsome star Saif Ali Khan as the Ravana. As for the rest of the cast, Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita and Sunny Singh will portray the role of Lakshmana.
However, much recently rumours were doing rounds that Kichcha Sudeep, who is well known to all the Telugu audience for Eega movie, is all set to essay the role of Ravana’s brother Vibhishana. Now instead of clearing the air on the rumours, Sudeep has made all his fans await for the same.
He spoke to a news portal during an interview said that discussions are still going on. According to a Pinkvilla report, Kichcha said, “Adipurush team has contacted my manager but I have not met them yet personally..” In the interview, Kichcha was reportedly asked about being a part of the Adipurush movie to which he said: “.discussions are going on, it is too early to react on it.”
Coming to the film, Adipurush will be made in 5 languages Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil. This movie is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair under T-series and Retrophiles banners. The cinematography field will be handled by Kharthik Palani and Apurva Motiwale & Ashish Mhatre will take care of the editing department.
This magnum opus is all set to hit the big screens on August 11, 2022, and the movie is reportedly based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The mahurat shot and the formal Pooja ceremony was held on February 2, 2021, in Mumbai, India. Due to the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, there is a delay in the shooting.
Speaking about Kichcha Sudeep’s work front, he will next be seen in Kotigobba 3 and Vikrant Rana. Kotigobba is being directed by Shiva Karthik and has an ensemble cast of Madonna Sebastian, Shraddha Das, Aftab Shivdasani and P. Ravi Shankar. Being a horror-action thriller, Sudeep will essay the role of a ghost in the movie.
