From Salman to Amitabh: Bollywood celebs who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far

With our social media feeds being bombarded with photos of people taking their COVID-19 vaccines, one cannot help but wonder if their favourite B-town celebrity has taken their dose or not. And, since many celebrities are sharing videos of themselves taking the vaccine shot at medical facilities, it is easy to keep track of the same.

Ever since the government started the vaccination drive, celebrities have been coming in to get their dose. Neena Gupta, Hema Malini, Saif Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal were among the first B-towners to have taken the vaccines. Later, many celebrities joined and contributed to our collective fight against coronavirus. 

To motivate their fans and friends on social media, many celebs have shared photos from medical facilities providing the vaccine dose. They also penned short notes to persuade people to get their vaccination. Doing their bit to curb the rising curve of coronavirus cases amid the second wave, celebs have supported the government’s COVID-19 vaccination drive in their own unique ways.

Seeing the grave situation of hospitals and medical facilities in India, celebrities have been asking fans to get vaccinated as soon as possible to fight the pandemic at the earliest. As the film industry has been one of the worst-hit industries amid the coronavirus pandemic, members of the fraternity member are quite concerned about the rising curve of the COVID-19 cases in the country.

Since actors have to work with hundreds of crew members in close proximity, they are at high risk of catching the deadly virus, which is why many have already received their first dose of vaccine and some have even received both doses of vaccine. Other than actors, filmmakers, crew members and producers are also heading to medical facilities to join the fight against coronavirus. 

The country saw a sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in India in the last 2 months, due to which many state governments imposed curfews and lockdowns. For four straight days, India reported over 4 lakh COVID-19 positive cases in the time frame of 24 hours.
