Amidst the glitz and glam of tinsel town, things often turn sour even between best friends. Same has been the case with filmmaker Karan Johar. Even though he is one of those celebs whom everyone wishes to befriend, Karan has had public fallouts with many A-listers of Bollywood. 

While the director has mended things with many stars, the list includes Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others. Read on… 

Kajol

Things reportedly went south between Karan and Kajol in 2016, during the release of Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. Karan even talked about their spat in his biography, An Unsuitable Boy. A part of it read, “I wouldn’t like to give a piece of myself to her at all because she’s killed every bit of emotion I had for her for twenty-five years. I don’t think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her any more.” 

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Karan had also opened up about the time his friendship with Kareena saw a rocky patch in his biography. Apparently, it so happened that the filmmaker had approached Kareena for his film Kal Ho Naa Ho before casting Preity Zinta to essay the role of Naina Catherine Kapur. To accept the role, Kareena had asked for an equal amount to what Shah Rukh was being paid for the movie, and it lead to their fallout at that time. 

Shah Rukh Khan 

There were several reports of Karan’s fallout with Shah Rukh. But during one of SRK’s appearances on his show Koffee With Karan, the filmmaker made it clear that things have always been fine between them. 

Kartik Aaryan 

Kartik is the latest celeb to have a fallout with Karan. It started with rumours of Kartik being replaced in Dostana 2. Soon after, the report of him being recast was confirmed by Dharma Productions on social media. The movie also stars Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya. 

Anurag Kashyap 

Even though the two filmmakers have sorted out things now, there was a time when they didn’t see eye-to-eye. Reportedly, Karan had once called Anurag a “psychopath”. Reacting to it, he had called him a “fat kid” who was still in “school”.

Kangana Ranaut

Who doesn’t know about Kangana’s feud with Karan? Before her Twitter account got suspended, Kangana had shared many tweets attacking Karan, whom she calls the flag-bearer of the “nepo gang”. Even when Kangana had appeared on Koffee With Karan, she had spoken about her grievances with him.
