The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed serious concern over the alleged theft of donations from the Shri Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya. Calling the incident “deeply painful,” the RSS urged strict action against those responsible and asked the Ram Mandir Trust to ensure greater transparency, accountability, and stronger administration in the temple’s management.
In a statement released from New Delhi, RSS Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale said the Ram Mandir is a symbol of faith and devotion for Hindus and has been built through the sacrifices and dedication of generations of devotees.
Calls for strict action against the guilty
Hosabale said the Uttar Pradesh government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) after a request from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Based on the SIT’s findings, legal action has already begun. He said anyone found guilty in the investigation should face strict punishment.
Trust should improve administration
The RSS leader urged the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to treat the incident as a serious matter and fix any shortcomings in the temple’s administration and day-to-day operations.
He said the Trust should strengthen transparency, improve financial management, and ensure a smooth and accountable system so that the faith of millions of devotees remains strong.
Hosabale expressed confidence that the Trust would continue to build public trust through honest administration, transparent operations, and by maintaining the temple’s purity and sanctity.
RSS appeals for patience
The RSS also appealed to the Hindu community to remain calm and patient while the investigation is underway. It urged people not to fall for attempts by anti-Hindu and anti-national forces to misuse the incident to defame Hinduism and the Hindu community.
