‘Iran must agree to never…’: Trump to convene emergency meet in Situation Room on Iran peace deal, says will remove naval blockade if…

US President Donald Trump announced  that he will convene an emergency meeting in the White House Situation Room to make a final decision on a broad, multi-part peace deal with Iran as he outlined Washington’s rigid, unyielding terms to end the West Asia conflict.

What did Trump say about US-Iran deal?

In a Truth Social post, Trump reiterated his stance on Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions, stating that and comprehensive settlement hinges on Tehran permanently relinquishing its nuclear weapons ambitions, alongside the immediate, unconditional opening of the Strait of Hormuz, world’s most critical oil chokepoint.

“Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions. All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated (we have removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any mines that are left, which will not be many!” Trump said.

Will US end naval blockade in Persian Gulf?

Meanwhile, Trump also signalled an imminent end to the maritime standoff in the Persian Gulf, announcing that commercial and international ships previously trapped by the US naval blockade are free to depart.

“Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of “heading home!” Say HELLO to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite President!,” he wrote.

Trump claims Iran and US will jointly remove, destroy ‘nuclear dust’

Trump also claimed that Iran’s “nuclear dust”, referring to Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpile reportedly buried beneath collapsed mountain ranges following the US strikes in June last year, will be unearthed jointly by the US and Iran, and destroyed.

The enriched material, sometimes referred to as “Nuclear Dust,” which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains, caused by our powerful B2 Bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy Agency, and DESTROYED,” he claimed.

Further, he claimed that under the negotiated framework, the extraction of enriched material will be executed through a highly synchronised, high-tech international effort, while asserting that the US would not be offering financial payouts or releasing frozen assets as immediate leverage.

“No money will be exchanged until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to. I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination. Thank you for your attention to this matter!,” he wrote.

What did Iran say about Trump’s claims?

Meanwhile, Iran refuted claims made by Trump about the proposed deal, with Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Fathali and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signalling that Tehran is completely unwilling to accept top-down mandates or unconditional ultimatums on its domestic energy programs, emphasising that they “have no trust in guarantees or words.”

“1- We seize concessions not through dialogue, but with missiles; in negotiations, we merely make them understand. 2- We have no trust in guarantees or words–only actions are the measure. No action will be taken before the other side acts. 3- The winner of any agreement is the one who is better prepared for war from the day after,” Ghalibaf said in a post on X.
