Donald Trump makes big claim amid reports of China arming Iran amid war, says Beijing agreed not to…

US President Donald Trump  said that China has agreed not to send weapons to Iran. He linked this to his efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz amid rising tensions in the region.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also – And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran.”

Message on US–China Relations

Trump also spoke about improving ties with China while giving a strong message.

“President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks. We are working together smartly, and very well! Doesn’t that beat fighting??? BUT REMEMBER, we are very good at fighting, if we have to – far better than anyone else!!! President DJT,” he wrote.

He added, “China, US are working together smartly, and very well,” showing what he described as close coordination between the two countries.

Focus on Strait of Hormuz

Trump’s comments come at a time when the Strait of Hormuz is at the centre of rising tensions. This route is very important for global oil supply and shipping.

His statement about “permanently opening” the strait suggests a bigger strategy to keep this key route open and ensure smooth energy flow worldwide.

No Response from China Yet

So far, there has been no official response from China regarding Trump’s claims, especially about stopping weapons supply to Iran.

The remarks have drawn attention because China has strong ties with Iran and depends on energy routes passing through the Gulf region.
