Uttar Pradesh to get 12 new expressways soon, set to link…

The Uttar Pradesh government appears serious about pushing large-scale changes in the state by strengthening infrastructure and improving connectivity. The Yogi Adityanath-led government aims to link even the smallest towns in Uttar Pradesh with expressways to ensure seamless connectivity across the state.

According to a report by Live Hindustan, the state government is working on a plan to build 12 new expressways. At present, Uttar Pradesh has seven operational expressways, while construction work is underway on three more. Once the three under-construction expressways are completed, the total number of expressways in the state will rise to 10. After the addition of the proposed 12 new expressways, Uttar Pradesh will become a record-holding state with 22 expressways.

Expressways to boost economic growth

The government’s vision is to ensure that even the smallest towns are connected to expressways so that every corner of the state is well linked with the rest. With 22 expressways in place, all districts, cities and towns of Uttar Pradesh will not only be connected with each other but will also enjoy better connectivity with the national capital Delhi and neighbouring states, districts and cities.

These expressways are expected to make travel easier for the public while also playing a crucial role in boosting trade and strengthening supply chains. Improved connectivity is likely to attract large-scale investments and generate significant employment opportunities, making the state economically stronger.

Uttar Pradesh to become first state with five international airports

Along with expressways, the Uttar Pradesh government is also focusing heavily on airport infrastructure to provide world-class connectivity. Currently, the state has a total of 16 airports, including four international airports and 12 domestic airports.

The Noida International Airport being developed in Gautam Buddh Nagar district will be the state’s 17th airport and its fifth international airport. The airport is expected to become operational soon. Once the Noida International Airport starts operations, Uttar Pradesh will become the first state in India to have five international airports.
