Hindu Man Lynching In Bangladesh

Deepu Chandra Das was brutally lynched in Bhaluka, Mymensingh district, after being accused of blasphemy. A video circulating online shows a group of people surrounding Deepu Chandra Das, beating him to death with sticks, and then tying his body to a tree before setting it on fire.

According to media reports, the incident happened on Thursday night in the Dublia Para area. Das, a garment factory worker who lived in a rented house nearby, was accused of making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad. A mob surrounded him, beat him with sticks, and killed him without any investigation. The attackers then tied his body to a tree and set it on fire.

The incident occurred during unrest in Bangladesh following the death of student leader Sharif Usman Hadi. Protests in several areas turned violent, with incidents of arson, vandalism, and attacks on media offices and establishments linked to the Awami League. These events raised concerns about the safety of minority communities.
