RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav  expressed strong confidence in his alliance’s performance in the Bihar assembly elections 2025. Addressing a press conference, he said the feedback from the ground had been “very positive,” even surpassing the response received during the 1995 elections.

Highlighting the high voter turnout, Tejashwi claimed that people have voted decisively against the current NDA government. “There is going to be a change this time,” he asserted, adding that there was “no scope of any ifs or buts” about the outcome.

Dismissing the exit poll predictions, Tejashwi claimed that the Mahagathbandhan will form the next government in Bihar and take oath on November 14. He highlighted that the BJP and NDA are rattled by the response the Grand Alliance is getting. “We had said earlier that results will come on 14th Nov and there will be oath ceremony on 18th Nov. This is definitely going to happen. The feedback that we have been receiving has rattled BJP-NDA…Voters were still in the queue to vote till 6-7 pm and Exit Polls were declared anyway. Voting didn’t even conclude when the Exit Polls came,” Yadav stated.

The Bihar Assembly elections concluded with a historic high voter turnout of 66.91 per cent on Tuesday, November 11. According to the Election Commission of India, this is the highest voter turnout recorded in the State since 1951. The ECI data revealed the active participation of female voters, with a voter turnout of 71.6 per cent, compared to 62.8 per cent of male voters casting their vote in both phases of the election. Most exit polls have projected a strong win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
