‘New York will become Cuba, residents will be forced to…’: Donald Trump makes SENSATIONAL claim, criticizes newly elected Mayor Mamdani

America “lost a little bit of its sovereignty,” according to US President Donald Trump, following Democrat socialist Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the New York mayoral race. He claimed that if Mamdani, whom he refers to as a “communist,” wins, New York will become socialist Venezuela or communist Cuba, causing its citizens to escape to Florida.

Mamdani won the contest to Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the mayor of New York, after pledging to increase taxes on wealthy people in order to finance government-run initiatives. Trump maintained that the party’s Pan-American strategy is reflected in the Democratic leader’s proposal for New York. Trump claimed, “If you want to see what congressional Democrats wish to do to America, just look at the result of yesterday’s election in New York, where their party installed a communist as the mayor of the largest city in the nation.” US President further added, “As I’ve warned for many years, our opponents are hell-bent on turning America into a communist Cuba, a socialist Venezuela, and you see what happened to those places.”

Trump, who was born in New York, also took a shot at Bill De Blasio, the former Democratic mayor of the city. “It was good when I left New York for the White House, but we had the telltale signs of trouble because we had a guy named De Blasio,” he remarked. “He is likely the worst mayor in history.”
