Despite expectations to receive Rs 2000 financial aid under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ Yojana were shattered during Diwali and Chhath Puja, millions of farmers still await the money before the Bihar assembly elections. The Central government is likely to release the 21st installment before November 2025 ends. However, the official release date is not yet confirmed. The PM Kisan scheme portal still shows the old information with no update.

Will Banks Remain Open This Week?

The PM Kisan yojana guarantees eligible farmers an annual income of approximately Rs 6,000. This income is disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2000. Farmers across Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir have already received the payout. Those who haven’t, let’s find out whether banks will remain open during this week to facilitate the transfer of money, in case the government releases it. There are holidays due to regional festivals ahead. Here is a detailed state-wise list of bank holidays

November 6 Nongkrem Dance Festival Shillong (Meghalaya) Regional Holiday
November 7 Wangala Festival Shillong (Meghalaya) Regional Holiday
