Varun Dhawan has joined the cast of ‘Border 2’ alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty and Sunny Deol. The makers have finally unveiled the first look of Varun from the film and fans are excited to see the actor in a completely different role.

Unveiling Varun Dhawan’s first look from ‘Border 2’, the makers wrote on Instagram, “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar!”

The poster showcases Varun in intense portrayal of an Indian soldier on the battlefield and carrying a gun in hand. Border 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026, a few days before Republic Day 2026.

As per reports, Varun will essay the role of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. Written by Nidhi Dutta and director by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan recently appeared in ‘Thamma’ where he reprised his role of Bhediya. The actor will be seen in ‘Bhediya 2’ as well. He was last seen in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ with Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles. The movie had a decent performance at the box office.

He will also stars in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur.
