‘Yeh public hai, yeh sab janti hai’: PM Modi calls Mahagathbandhan manifesto a ‘Bundle of lies’ ahead of Bihar elections

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi  addressed a public rally in Arrah, Bhojpur district of the state. He criticised the Mahagathbandhan over its manifesto and contrasted the promises of the NDA and the Grand Alliance, stating that the public is aware and knows everything.

PM Modi said, “The manifesto of the NDA alliance is an honest declaration, and on the other hand, the manifesto of Mahagathbandhan is a bundle of lies. Yeh public hai, yeh sab janti hai.”

PM Modi emphasises on ‘Viksit Bihar’

Speaking further, PM Modi emphasised the importance of a “Viksit Bihar” as the foundation for a “Viksit Bharat.” He called the dreams of the people in Bihar as the NDA’s resolve. PM Modi asserted that the NDA will achieve victory with record margin, while the Mahagathbandhan will face a crushing defeat.

“Viksit Bihar is the foundation of Viksit Bharat. When I talk about Viksit Bihar, I mean the industrial development of Bihar; the youth of Bihar should get jobs in Bihar. Your dreams are our resolve…This time, the people of Bihar will ensure that NDA wins the elections with a record margin…The leaders of ‘Jungle Raaj’ will set a record for the most crushing defeat,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi attacks RJD-Congress

Attacking the two major parties of the Grand Alliance, PM Modi pointed at differences between RJD and Congress. He stated that there is a huge conflict between the two parties and alleged that Congress’ demands were not taken into the alliance’s manifesto. “Congress never wanted an RJD candidate to be declared the Chief Ministerial face. But RJD snatched the Chief Ministerial post by pointing a gun at Congress, ensuring that its candidate would be the Chief Ministerial face… There is a huge conflict between the RJD and the Congress. Congress’s demands were not taken into account in the manifesto… There is so much hatred between them before the elections, and after the elections, they will turn on each other. They cannot be trusted,” PM Modi added.

Elections for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes set for November 14.
