Bihar assembly elections 2025: NDA releases joint ‘Sankalp Patra’ – big manifesto promises revealed

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA)released its ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the upcoming high-stakes Bihar assembly elections 2025. Five alliance partners, Union Minister & BJP chief JP Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister-HAM(S) Custodian Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister & LJP(RV) Chief Chirag Paswan, RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha, presented the joint manifesto in Patna 

Key Highlights Of NDA’s Manifesto For Bihar Polls

  • Jobs/employment for Bihar youth: NDA promises to generate over 10 million government jobs and employment opportunities, conduct a skills census, and provide skill-based employment to the Bihar youth. The state government aims to develop Bihar as a global skilling hub with mega skill centers in every district.
  • Women’s Prosperity and Self-Reliance: As per the NDA’s manifesto, the Bihar Chief Minister will provide financial assistance of up to 2 lakh rupees to women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana. Additionally, they aim to make 1 crore women Lakhpati Didi. Under ‘Mission Crorepati,’ the manifesto promises to make identified women entrepreneurs millionaires.
  • Economic and Social Strength for Most Backward Classes: Rs 10 lakh assistance to be provided to various business groups from the Backward Classes. As per the manifesto, a high-level committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge will be formed to assess the social and economic status of various castes of the most backward classes and recommend appropriate steps to the government for their empowerment.
  • Guaranteed Respect and MSP to Farmers: Under Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers will receive Rs 3,000 annually, totaling Rs 9,000. State Govt will provide investment of Rs 1 lakh crore in Agri-Infrastructure. All major crops (paddy, wheat, pulses, maize) will be procured at the MSP at the Panchayat level.
  • Farmers Prosper Through the Fisheries and Milk Mission: The scheme will provide Rs 4,500, a total benefit of Rs 9,000 to each fish farmer. The “Bihar Fisheries Mission” will double production and exports. The “Bihar Milk Mission” will be launched, establishing processing centers at every block level to provide facilities in every village.
  • Expressways and Rail Project in Bihar: Manifesto promises to launch the Bihar Gati Shakti Master Plan and build 7 Expressways, modernizing 3,600 km of Rail Track. There are plans to expand the Amrit Bharat Express and Namo Rapid Rail Services. Moreover, NDA aims to launch metro services in four new cities
  • Modern Urban Development: The manifesto guarantees seven expressways, a greenfield city in ‘New Patna’, and satellite townships in major regions. Additionally, the sacred birthplace of Mother Janaki will be developed into a world-class spiritual city called ‘Sitapuram’.
