Ayushmann Khurrana has returned to the big screen with his horror comedy film ‘Thamma’. The movie is the new addition to the Maddock Films Horror Comedy Universe and has an intriguing storyline. Like other movies in the universe, ‘Stree’, ‘Munjya’ and ‘Bhediya’ are connected; there are some exciting cameos in ‘Thamma’. Varun Dhawan, who plays ‘Bhediya’ in the film, made an appearance alongside Abhishek Banerjee.

Varun has reprised his role of Bhediya (wolf) and will reportedly go against Ayushmann’s character. Fans saw a small glimpse of Bhediya in the trailer of Thamma as well. Abhishek Banerjee, who played Jana in Stree, Stree 2 and Bhediya, also made a surprising cameo.

In Thamma, Bhediya is shown as stronger and muscular than in the first film. While speaking on Zoom, Thamma’s writer, Niren Bhatt, talked about how Bhediya has been included in the film.

“In Thamma, we have a huge werewolf. Now, whether it is Varun Dhawan or Kriti Sanon, we will get to know in the film. In Bhediya, we showed Bhaskar as a normal wolf. The version in Thamma is more muscular and bigger. How did that version form? We have answers in the film,” he said.

According to reports, the first look of Shakti Shalini will be unveiled with Thamma. For the unversed, Thamma is the new addition to Maddock Films Horror Universe and will be a vampire love story. It is not clear whether the makers will embed Shakti Shalini’s look in ‘Thamma’. Despite the massive buzz around ‘Shakti Shalini’, the makers have maintained their silence.

Talking about Aneet Padda, she is basking in the success of ‘Saiyaara’ alongside Ahaan Panday.

Meanwhile, Thamma also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles.
