Aneet Padda, who is basking in the success of her film ‘Saiyaara’, is all set to join Maddock Films’ Horror Comedy Universe. The actress will lead ‘Shakti Shalini’, which was announced in the end-credit scene of ‘Thamma’. For the unversed, ‘Thamma’ is a new addition to this universe and stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role.

The makers reportedly announced ‘Shakti Shalini’ at the end of Thamma and also announced the release date. The movie will reportedly arrive in theatres on December 24, 2026. However, the actress is yet to make an official comment on her next project.

It was reported that Kiara Advani was roped in to play the lead role in ‘Shakti Shalini’ but she opted out of the project. Meanwhile. ‘Thamma’ also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles.  It focuses on Alok Goyal, a historian, who turns into a vampire and gets caught up in a war between the vetalas and their rogue leader, Yakshashan.

Talking about Aneet Padda, she has been receiving praise for her stellar performance in ‘Saiyaara’ alongside Ahaan Panday. After the film’s release, the actress penned a heartfelt note for fans. She wrote, “The daze is wearing off, and all I want to say is that I love you. I don’t know you. But I know that I love you. All this love you’ve been so generous to give me, it’s sitting heavy in my chest, and I don’t know what to do except give it back. I’m scared of what’s next, scared I won’t be enough, but whatever I have, even the smallest piece of me, I’ll put it out there.”

Before ‘Saiyaara’, Aneet starred in ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Salaam Venky’.
