‘Housefull 5’ brought back the laughter riot with a blend of murder mystery. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. Even though the movie received a mixed response, it did average business at the box office. ‘Housefull 5’ has finally arrived on the OTT platform more than a month after its theatrical release.

‘Housefull 5’ is released on Prime Video today (August 1). The makers did not announce the streaming date of ‘Housefull 5’ before, but decided to drop it directly on OTT.

Announcing the OTT release, Prime Video India wrote, “a housefull of people have something to say #Housefull5OnPrime, Watch Now”

‘Housefull 5’ also features Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey and Johnny Lever in the pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma are the leading ladies of the film.

The movie was released in two versions with different endings, and it generated curiosity among the audience. In version ‘A’, it is revealed that Abhishek Bachchan, aka Jalbhushan, is the killer along with Fardeen Khan, aka Dev. Meanwhile, in the second version, Chitrangda Singh, who played Maya, turned out to be the killer alongside Abhishek Bachchan’s character.

The movie has collected approximately Rs 185 crore in five weeks in India and earned around Rs 238 crore worldwide. It surpassed the Rs 120 crore mark within a week and has become one of the highest-grossing Indian movies in 2025. According to reports, ‘Housefull 5’ was made on a massive budget of Rs 375 crore, but the makers did not comment on these reports.
