ENG Vs IND: India In Deep Injury Crisis Ahead Of Must-Win 4th Test – Here’s The Probable Playing XI

The fourth Test between India and England is all set to start on Wednesday, July 23, and it will be held at the Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester. But the Indian team has found itself caught in a deep injury crisis, which has become a big headache for the management. While Arshdeep Singh was ruled out after he was hit by a ball in the nets and received stitches on his left thumb, Nitish Kumar Reddy has injured his knee. But this was not the end of India’s struggles. Reports suggest Akashdeep is also struggling with a groin injury.

Many Changes Likely In Manchester Test

Now one of the biggest dilemmas looming is who will replace Nitish Reddy and Akashdeep.

A lot of changes are expected in this Test as India’s injury crisis has forced selectors to bring in important replacements. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been a good all-round option for India but due to a knee injury, it is likely that Shardul Thakur will step in to take his place.

Apart from that, two new additions will be Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna. Kuldeep Yadav has exceptional record in England – he has picked 21 wickets in just 6 matches with an average of 22.28 and this time, India might end the long wait and bring him in. Prasidh Krishna is likely to replace Akashdeep, who might miss the fourth Test due to groin injury.

India’s Probable Playing XI For 4th Test

Here’s India’s probable playing XI for the 4th Test against England.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna
