Who Is Aneet Padda? Once An Extra In Kajol’s Film, Now Starring Opposite Ahaan Panday In YRF’s Saiyaara

Debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s much-anticipated romantic film, Saiyaara, has finally hit the big screens. While Ahaan, the cousin of Ananya Panday and nephew of Chunky Panday, has already drawn attention, it’s Aneet, the relatively new face, who is stealing the spotlight and winning hearts with her performance.

Who Is Aneet Padda?

Born in October 2002 into a middle-class family in Amritsar, Aneet’s journey to films hasn’t been straightforward. She began her career as a model during her teenage years while pursuing her undergraduate degree at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

Aneet Padda first appeared on screen as a background actor in the 2022 film Salaam Venky, starring Kajol. Her big break came in 2024 with the Amazon Prime Video teen drama Big Girls Don’t Cry, where she acted alongside seasoned stars like Pooja Bhatt, Raima Sen, and Zoya Hussain.

Apart from acting, Aneet is also passionate about singing. She released her first song, Masoom, in 2024. That same year, she appeared in a supporting role in the TV show Yuva: Sapno Ka Safar, where she was credited as Aneet Kaur.

About Saiyaara

The film marks the first collaboration between director Mohit Suri and Yash Raj Films, under the banner of Aditya Chopra and producer Akshaye Widhani, also featuring Shan Grover in a negative role. Saiyaara is being applauded for its soulful music, performances, and emotional storytelling.

Despite clashing with Anupam Kher’s Tanvi The Great and Sonakshi Sinha’s Nikita Roy, Saiyaara seems to be holding its own, with strong word of mouth potentially giving it a significant edge over the weekend.

The film has already created a strong buzz with advance bookings close to Rs 10 crore. Industry analysts expect an impressive opening collection of Rs 15-20 crore, making it the fourth highest opening for a Hindi film in 2025 so far.
