Who Is Priya Nair? HUL Veteran To Become First Woman CEO And MD Of Hindustan Unilever From August 2025

Priya Nair has been appointed as the new and first woman Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). She has been working with the company for the last 30 years. She will be taking charge after the current CEO and MD Rohit Java will steps down on 31 July 2025. She has been given this post for five years.

HUL Chairman Nitin Paranjape praised Priya Nair’s contributions and said that she has made a great career in HUL and Unilever. He added that, with her deep understanding of the Indian market and excellent performance, she will take the company to new heights.

Education Of Priya Nair

She holds a degree in Accounts and Statistics in B.Com (1987-1992) from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. After this, she did her MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (1992-1994). Priya also completed a special course related to Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School.

2021: Executive Director and EVP, South Asia – Beauty & Personal Care

2014: Executive Director, heading the Home Care business in South Asia

2012: Joined the Management Board as Head of Beauty & Personal Care Business

1995 to 2012: Held various positions in the Sales and Marketing department
