War 2 has created massive hype ever since YRF announced that Telugu superstar Jr NTR has joined the franchise. Hrithik Roshan will now go against the RRR star in War 2. Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Apart from Hrithik and Jr NTR, the movie also stars Kiara Advani. The movie will also release in Telugu and the makers have planned a big release.
Producer Naga Vamsi has bagged the OTT rights of Telugu release of War 2. He wrote on X, “Yes… it’s #War2…Couldn’t be happier to reunite with my dearest @tarak9999 anna After #AravindhaSametha and #Devara, it’s time for the hattrick and we are going all in no matter what. Dear fans… get ready! You are going to witness the man of masses like NEVER before…. Let’s celebrate together and shake it to the core this August 14th.”

Earlier, while speaking to Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt for a fun chat, Jr NTR revealed having some creative conflicts with film’s director Ayan Mukerji. He shared, “When I was shooting for War 2, Ayan did not know what was going to come. Because he was trying to bring it out from me, that’s how this was going to come out. I told him, ‘Ayan, I am very instinctive; kuch na kuch aa jayega (something will come).’ Now, he is not used to doing this at all; he loves prep, and I am completely the opposite. And then Adi Sir was there in between, who said, ‘It’s ok, it’s ok, I get it’.”
He added, “Too much prep doesn’t give you the chance to explore yourself. South Indian films (sets) have always been chaotically organized. Like, if the prints have to come tomorrow, the team will still ask for one extra hour because they want to make some changes in the edit. The clock is ticking; the prints have to be delivered, but you are still working on the film.”
War 2 will release on August 14.
