Squid Game, which is regarded as one of the most popular and iconic shows on Netflix, has ended with its third season. The show has left the audience heartbroken with the deaths of many characters but has also given hopes for its spin-off wit h its open ending. 1. Origin of Squid Game:

In the first season, it was confirmed that these deadly games have been happening from past many years. But the origin of Squid Game was not disclosed in the finale. As the ending showed Cate Blanchett as the recruiter, it confirms that Squid Games have been happening in different parts of the world.

2. Hwang Jun-ho’s Investigation:

Hwang Jun-ho, played by Wi Ha-joon, was seen investigating the sudden disappearance of people and it leads him to the island, where these games happen. In the end, he was shot by The Frontman, who turned out to be his brother. In the second and third seasons, he is seen trying to find the island and his brother again. However, his investigation seems wasted as it did not reach any conclusion and he had to flee the island soon after seeing his brother.

3. The Frontman’s Story

The Frontman aka Hwang In-ho is the pivotal part of Squid Game but how he got involved into the game is not completely explored. In the second season, it was briefly revealed that his wife was unwell and he had to join the game to earn money. Later in the third season, The Frontman is seen brutally killing the other contestants in their sleep to win the game. Even though the audience knows some information about his life, but his backstory is not fully disclosed.
