Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh in the lead roles, has finally released in theatres. The movie created massive hype before its release due to its two version and an ensemble star cast. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the movie released in theatres on June 6, 2025. Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 1:

According to Sacnilk, Housefull 5 collected Rs 23 crore on its opening day. It has also become the third-highest opening for a Bollywood movie in 2025 and is only behind Salman Khan’s Sikandar and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.

The movie is set against the backdrop of a luxury cruise ship, where a billionaire dies. He leaves his fortune to a man named Jolly but three people claim to be Jolly to get the wealth. However, three men and their partners become the prime suspects. This leads to the comedy of errors, chaotic situations and more.

Housefull 5 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey and Johnny Lever in the pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa and Soundarya Sharma are the leading ladies of Housefull 5.

The makers have released its two different versions as ‘Housefull 5 A’ and ‘Housefull 5 B’. ‘A’ and ‘B’ will have different endings and climaxes as this franchise takes a whodunnit route. However, ‘Housefull 5’ is not the first Indian movie to adopt this strategy. In 1998, the Malayalam movie ‘Harikrishnans’ did the same things and became a massive success. As the movie featured the superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty with Juhi Chawala, it had already created a huge hype. The makers wanted to satisfy the fans of Mammootty and Mohanlal as Harikrishnans focused on the love triangle.
